I have christened my new watercolor sketchbook with this piece, it's very special and shiney in real life-- I used pearly inks on his shirt and metallic gold paint on the coat and wall --but of course, none of this shows up quite right in the scan This paper has a very interesting texture that makes it a wee bit difficult to draw and trace on, but the painting is quite fun. Well, this is done with watercolor, acrylic, and ink.
All your pictures are so gorgeous! O o O!
Your figures come out so elegant and beautiful- and the color and detail in this piece is astounding... I love the pose- almost like he's in "mid sentence" of explaining something he was thinking of, and gesturing it. And I like how it has that effeminate twinge, but not the horribly cliche "is that a girl?" feel.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
